

It is also in his beautiful classical shop, decorated with wood and a miniature garden maintained with care, that Gilles GOINEAU, jeweller by trade, according to family tradition, work daily.
So, Gilles GOINEAU is no an ordinary jeweller. An attentive walker, fond of Romanesque art, he goes in the most secluded villages in the depths of the country, in search of a "soul" for each of his creations. Armed with his camera, he wanders, intriguing inhabitants who cross his path. And from his photos, he realies very acute drawings, waxes, and silver pieces: miniature representations of details of ancient monuments full of symbolic country history.
It was trough exhibitions that Gilles Goisneau had became aware of the impact his work had on visitors. The jewellery -taken from this unexpected angle- made step towards another public. The Romanesque decorations of small churches or abbeys, column's ornaments, capital's fragments, snatches of pediments have been the aim to his absolutly loves.
